Excellent location in the heart of the city. Big rooms. Good view. The GREAT FEALING of OLD SOCIALST HOTELS that were made for People and not for robots!!! (that includes a big loby on each floor in front of the 2 elevators, wooden walls in public areas etc. I can recognize those things from far!!!) We chosed NOT RENOVATED ROOMS and still were OK. Breakfast was very good and the lady very polite and helpfull.

I google searched for an untouched communist-era hotel, and this one came up. It was exactly what I wanted. while several floors have been updated to a modern boutique-hotel style, I stayed on an "unrenovated" room, which clearly hasn't been touched since Yuri Antropov was Communist Party Secretary...and that's exactly what I wanted. Also, the location: on a beautiful square in the centre of town was...perfect.

Second time in this hotel, but last time, I was in the non renovated part. This time, I was in the brand new part (fully renovated) and it was perfect! The location is just the best one, nearby to any top place in Sofia, restaurants, pedestrian street Vitoshka, bars, clubs... The View from 6th floor is just amazing, one of the best View in Sofia (Mountain View). Also the Staff is amazing, even for early check-in! If the room is available, they let you in! Really appreciated!

Comfortable rooms, some with a spectacular view of Vitosha Mountain. The location was excellent; everything is within walking distance. The 24-hour reception is very convenient for late arrivals. Another advantage is the baggage room, which allows you to walk around after checking out. Staff were highly knowledgeable, helpful, and courteous.

The hotel is in a great location: within the city center, great restos and shops around, and the monuments are walking distance from the hotel. The room: I booked one of the renovated rooms, and i must say, I love it. It is modern, chic, and well decorated. Highlight was I had a great view of the National Assembly (+other monuments) and the Bulgarian mountains. It is cleaned daily and they do a good job. The room is complete with everything you need, and they are of high quality. There were thunderstorms during one day when I visited the city, good thing the TV was equipped with the Netflix app, so staycation all day ☺️ Lastly, the staff are friendly and accommodating. Always smiling and ready to help 💕

We arrived very late for check-in, but the receptionist was very helpful and kind. She also assisted us with breakfast arrangements, which we really appreciated. The breakfast was nice, with a good variety of options available.

The hotel have been completely renewed, the rooms look modern and are well furnished. I have been already to Rila Hotel 2 years ago and the improvement is incredible. The structure is located in a very central and you can reach all the main attractions by simply walking. Moreover, you can also find nearby the Serdika Metro station and several bus and tram stops. Hence, the area is well serviced. The personnel was professional and kind. They speak English.

The welcome and professionalism of the staff. I like the location, I need this location for the things I need to do, that is why I don’t mind being in an in refurbished room. Air conditioner- excellent, works well, without it when it is +29-30 outside is difficult. All my requests were answered by the caring staff.
